About Morgan County Correctional Facility:
Incorporating the latest security technology to make operations more efficient, the Morgan County Correctional Facility served as a design prototype for future State of Tennessee correctional facilities. The 500,000 square foot complex added 18 new buildings and two renovated buildings that includes a central command center, administration building, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and minimum, medium and maximum security housing units for 1,541 inmates. Upon completion, it was the largest construction project the State of Tennessee had undertaken.
