Our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Engineer / Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator runs clash detections to identify where systems may conflict with each other. We actively engage our subcontractors in the model allowing them to further understand and coordinate the interaction of their work with other trades. We have found when subcontractors use the BIM model, their shop drawings are more accurate and more likely to be approved on the first submission.

Because of our BIM expertise, we are able to provide our clients with numerous benefits, including:

  • Reducing the overall duration of the project
  • Having the ability to detect and correct conflicts within the design documents prior to the start of construction (clash detection)
  • Utilizing the BIM model to attain quantity take-offs for estimating purposes
  • Achieving greater coordination among the major trades
  • Utilizing the BIM model to fabricate mechanical, plumbing, and structural systems
  • Incurring fewer in-the-field delays
  • Incurring fewer change orders
  • Achieving increased quality
  • Analyzing and implementing complex systems
