BELL served as the General Contractor to utilize ABC techniques for the replacement of four bridges and deck repairs to another bridge. Services included detailed ABC hourly scheduling, detailed ABC sequencing, team meetings, subcontractor meetings, Safety Plan, railroad interface, traffic control, construction change directives and proposal request, submittal review and processing, request for information validation, updates, and quality control. This project consisted of the replacement of bridges over Oldham Avenue and Spring Street, deck repairs to the Silliman Evans Bridge and resurfacing of entire area.
This was the biggest bridge superstructure ever performed in Tennessee at the time, and it was completed one month early.
