BELL acted as the general contractor to construct a 265-foot long, 3-span, prestressed bulb-tee beam bridge with a shared use path, along with widening of the the existing channel. The bridge crosses over Overall Creek. Additional work included grading, utilities, curb, gutter, sidewalk, drainage structures, milling, paving, marking, signing, lighting, and guardrail. We also installed approximately 600 linear feet of 12-inch water line, valves, fittings, and related appurtenances. The new bridge gives area residents an alternative east-west connection to and from Franklin Road/Highway 96 and Veterans Parkway in Murfreesboro. The addition of this structure will help reduce traffic on New Salem Highway/Highway 99 and give better access to residents with students zoned for Overall Creek Elementary School and the expanding west side of Murfreesboro.
