On-The-Job training

Level 1 of the Superintendent Training Program includes the following technical / construction-related courses:

  • OSHA Supervisor Training
  • Supervisor Safety Training
  • Supervisor EEO Training
  • Basic Construction Math
  • Shoot Grade
  • Basic Blue Print Reading
  • Basic Site Logistics

Trainees also complete on-the-job training and evaluation. When they graduate from Level 1, they will be prepared to advance to a foreman or field engineer role. 

soft skills training

As part of our Superintendent Training program, participants must also complete soft skills leadership training. The courses, which are developed and led by Nashville State Community College, also count as college credit for anyone wishing to continue their education down the line.

  • Conflict Resolution
  • Embracing Change
  • Enhancing Personal Productivity

At the completion of the course, NSCC presents a certificate to each of the participants.
