Icon Hires BELL Construction For Southern Turf Buildout

Nashville, Tenn. (May 10, 2022) – Bill Miller announced today that he has retained BELL Construction to build out his three projects in his Southern Turf building which also houses Skull’s Rainbow Room.

“We are very pleased to be working with the team at BELL Construction. The quality of their recent hospitality projects align with Icon’s high bar for top-notch experiential food and beverage venues in unique and compelling settings,” said Bill Miller, Icon Entertainment Founder and CEO. “I trust BELL to undertake the renovation and build out of the grand Southern Turf Building, one of Nashville’s most historic and storied buildings which has stood proud since 1880.”

BELL will construct Sinatra Bar & Lounge, The Southern Turf Lofts (six luxury residential units occupying the second and third floors) and The Southern Turf Club (planned as a members-only venue) on the fourth floor. Remick Architects of Nashville designed the project in conjunction with Miller, his wife Shannon and son Jordan Miller.

“We’re delighted to play a role in another landmark Nashville project. Icon Entertainment is responsible for several of the city’s premier entertainment and hospitality destinations, and we’re proud to be part of their newest venture,” said Eric Pyle, Member and Executive Vice President of Building Operations at BELL. “Our local roots make us particularly excited to help restore the historic Southern Turf building and bring Sinatra Bar and Lounge to life.”

Construction commences this month.
